What is the best hardware (between the two) and OS platform to run vBulletin?
Especially, it would be great to hear from vBulletin developers themselves, what architecture they would recommend: SPARC or i386.
I searched the archives, and I know it has been discussed in the pre-vBulletin 2 days, however I want to see what is the general consensus these days.

New sparc (2i Processor) running Solaris 8 every time.
Red Hat 7.1/7.2 with latest 2.4 kernel with stuff compiled with gcc 2.95.3 compiler
the least amount problems with this setup especially for dual cpu/SMP setups
